Missi roti is made of gram flour and wheat flour, which makes it a perfect cereal-pulse combination.


Bengal gram flour (Besan) - 1 cup
Whole wheat flour - 1 cup
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Chili powder - 1 tsp
Onion - 1 no.
Dry fenugreek leaves - 1 tsp
Ajwain - 1 tsp
Ghee- 1 tsp
Salt - to taste


  1. • Mix all the ingredients together and knead them to form a soft dough.
  2. • Cover this dough with a damp cloth and keep it aside for half an hour; then, knead it again.
  3. • Roll out the dough into thin round shapes and cook them on a tava with little ghee.
  4. • Serve hot along with any type of chutney or veggie.
